Georgia area, be sure to enjoy local events, festivals, concerts
and parades throughout the year. Each October, our county celebrates
the making of our world-famous sorghum
syrup, so be sure to enjoy a taste of what makes our area so
unique. There is plenty of outdoor fun in the Blairsville, GA area

Lake Nottely, Lake Chatuge and our other lakes offer great fishing,
or go fishing in any one of our many trout streams. |

department that is open year round. Meeks
Park offers numerous trails, picnic areas, soccer fields, softball
fields and an Olympic-size swimming pool. If you love golf,
visit the 18-hole course at Butternut
Creek Golf Course. There are also tennis courts and a
children's playground. Summer swimming lessons and crafts
are even available. |
